Getting the Most From Your Business (>60 min + Q&A)

Attendees will specifically learn about:

  • The value of corporate planning strategies and taxation strategies to help business owners manage their business assets
  • Discuss strategies on extracting assets from the participant’s corporations during three significant stages in their business:
    • Earning a Living from Their Business
      • Using Share Structures to Income Split
    • Retiring from Their Business
      • Individual Pension Plans (IPP)
    • Estate Planning for Their Business
      • Strategies to implement and fund a buy-sell agreement
  • Expand the attendees’ knowledge of Edward Jones’ broad expertise in corporate planning strategies and solutions.

The objectives of this seminar are to:

  • Educate participants on the value of corporate planning strategies and taxation strategies.
  • Present the various strategies in an easy-to-digest format, with supporting stories that are relevant to the affluent business owner.
  • Position the Edward Jones advisor as the financial planning resource that will work in partnership with the individual, their business and their other professional network of advisors, such as their accountants and lawyers, to help determine the appropriate solutions for them and their business.
  • Empower participants to seek additional information and talk to their Edward Jones advisor about developing a comprehensive plan by outlining the key strategies for their business, along with some high-level concepts to consider when building their own business wealth management plans.
